You can now check your KCSE results either online or through the SMS short code. To check your results via SMS, simply text your index number to 22252 and wait for your results. Note: SMS charges apply above normal rates.

Steps

  • Visit https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/ on your PC/Mobile phone web browser or click here to login directly
  • Click on the “2017 On-Line Result slip” link
  • Use your school code as username and Index Number as a password in the fields shown to log in.
  • Your results will be displayed and you may choose to either view, download or print your results slip.

What to do after you have accessed your 2017 KCSE results online or via SMS

The best thing to do after viewing/receiving your KCSE results is to verify their authenticity. Why? With the recent track record in marking of exams, there is a likelihood of errors committed during marking so its important to verify your results.

Things to check and verify the accuracy of your result include; The name of your school and code, your subject grades/marks and lastly your name – Check to ensure that they are spelled correctly and in the order, you provided during KCPE registration
