How to Join Safaricom Blaze Kenya
Blaze is open to any Kenyan who is between the age bracket of 10 – 26 years and has a registered Safaricom SIM Card. You cannot join the BLAZE Kenya network using an Airtel SIM card or any other apart from Safaricom
How to signup on Blaze and participate
You can Join the BLAZE Kenya network by either the USSD method from your Safaricom line or online on the BLAZE Kenya website.
To join BLAZE Kenya via the USSD method,
- Dial *555# on your phone
- Select Option 1
- Follow the system prompts to MIGRATE to BLAZE Kenya
Once you have successfully migrated, dial *555# again to view your NEW BLAZE Menu. The BLAZE Kenya menu should resemble the one shown in the image below
Select option 1, then you will receive three SMS and one of them with instructions to Visit the BLAZE website to start enjoying their services ;-). Once on the site, Enter the confirmation code to create a plan and pick a plan which works for you. Three plans have a limit to how much you can spend in a given time.

- A daily Plan of Ksh 10 – Ksh 100
- Weekly Plan of Ksh 50 – Ksh 500
- A Monthly Plan of Ksh 200 – Ksh 2000
Select the plan that works for you and how you’ll love to spend it. Once you comfortable with the plan, click on the “IGNITE” button and Safaricom will get back to you with a confirmation text.

You can renew it after the period selected is done then the specific amount that your plan costs will be deducted from your airtime.
The plan will be auto-renewed once the expiry of the selected period and the plan cost are deducted from your airtime. Just in case you experience technical issues with the subscription, contact BLAZE customer care through Facebook or Twitter.
Safaricom Be Your Own Boss – BYOB
The other BLAZE services are Be Your Boss program which involves a Boot-camp, Summit and a TV Show.
A Bootcamp is a 2-5 day training exercise on a set of skills by specialists in a given industry. BLAZERS, those who are part of the program, are taught on how to become their Bosses ( Be Your Boss) and on how to start earning income from their skills.
A Summit is a Youth Mentorship Symposiums that runs from 9 am-6 pm where young people can engage with their mentors and learn from them. It through these summits that auditions are held for the upcoming Be Your Boss.
Finally, there is the BYOB TV show which airs on local TV stations to showcase the milestone achieved by the participants.
