Nairobi national park is the world’s first city park, established in 1945 is still probably the most famous, due to its unique location within city limits, the park is only 7km(about 20 minutes) from Nairobi city center, Major wildlife attractions are the Black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffaloes, Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elands and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded.
The park also includes an animal orphanage that establishes in 1964 as a refuge and rehabilitation center for wild animals found injured, sick or abandoned. Nairobi park is also the site of the famous, Nairobi nature walk, which offers the ultimate, taste of Kenya’s rich animal collection including the rare bongo, white rhino, albino zebra, a collection of cats, antelopes, and primates. Nairobi nature walk also has a collection of about 150 species of local trees.
