Shinda Mamili Na Tunukiwa Promotion by Safaricom

It’s back! Safaricom is looking to award its loyal customers bountifully. On 12th January, Safaricom announced an 11-week consumer reward promotion dubbed ‘Shinda Mamili Na Tunukiwa‘.

This campaign is looking to award over five million customers throughout the country with prizes worth five million shillings being given away. The campaign will run on a regional level with daily, weekly and grand prizes to be won.

Phase one of the promotion has been launched through a national treasury and this will see random winners across the country be rewarded.

As part of the launch, 10 briefcases have been hidden across 10 towns, (Nairobi, Eldoret, Nakuru, Machakos, Kakamega, Kisumu, Mombasa, Garissa, Meru and Nyeri) and the lucky winners to spot the briefcase will go home with the treasure inside.

Giving Back

This promotion is designed with the welfare of Kenyans in mind. Sylvia Mulinge, the director of Consumer Business Unit says, “We truly believe in the power of coming together to benefit Kenya, which is why we are pleased to announce the Shinda Mamili na Tunukiwa promotion to reward all Kenyans. This initiative aligns with our continued vision transform the lives of Kenyans.”


The prizes include eight grand draw winners of Sh 3 million per region, 80 winners of Sh 500,000 weekly per region, 400 motorcycles, 1,200 School Fees vouchers, 2,000 Neon Smartphones.

Other rewards include cash prizes and airtime given based on the validity of Tunukiwa offers purchased.

How To Participate

To participate in this promotion, customers are required to secure Tunukiwa offers by dialling *444#. One will then be awarded entry points ranging from 10 points for daily bundles to 500 points for monthly bundles each time they purchase an offer.

Unlike the previous campaign ‘Shinda Mamili Na Story Ibambe, this campaign is available to both prepay and post-pay customers. It will run from 12th January to 27th March 2018.
