Top 10 Android Apps for Kenyan Students

Today, we are going to share with you the top 10 Android Apps for Kenyan Students should have in 2018. I have never done app reviews for a couple of years but this time around relax and get ready to download some awesome apps.

I think doing this type of review might help and save you a lot of time while in Google’s Play store.

I am pretty sure you will find some useful apps from this post. If you feel your favorite apps have been missed let us know in the comment section. Without any further talking let’s get started.

1. Notin

The first application of the list is called Notin. It is a great little application. So, basically what it does, is that it lets you take notes or reminders that you wanted to remind yourself and it puts it in your notification bar.

This is useful. A lot of times when you take note it just gets lost in the notes app and you have to dig for it later. Notin keeps it in the notification bar and also on your lock screen. You can just keep an eye on it.

Whenever you are done with it you can just wipe it away like you would with any other notification in your notification bar. It is very simple to use all you do is click on the application type what you need to type and hit the plus sign and you’re done.

2. Another widget

The second application on the list is another Widget. This is the same widget that comes with the new Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2XL phones. The app tells you the time, date, weather, and also anything else that is coming up on your calendar.

So, if you are trying to get a stock Android look on your phone or you have the Google Pizza launcher then definitely this is a widget that is going help you out. Also, the widget is completely customizable.

You can change the size of the font and color, add a clock if that is what you want. So, give this one a try.

3. Dune

The 3rd application on my Top 10 Android Apps for Kenyan Students is a game called Dune. This is a straightforward game that is addicting and the controls are very simple. All you have to do is hold the display to gain some speed and release it to get some air and then hold it again to dive.

You are just basically guiding a ball through several hills and valleys trying to gain as much air as you can. It has so much fun to be playing this game.

There is not much we can say about this game, other than the fact that you won’t be able to stop when you start playing. So, check it out.

4. Floating Bar

Fourth on the Top 10 Android Apps for Kenyan Students list is Floating Bar. This app was inspired by the LGV 30. This application is a floating bar that you pull in from the right or the left side of your display.

It allows you to keep things like the most used apps or toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth to GPS, or even your music controls.

This comes in handy if you have all your pages set up, all your home screens set up on your phone and you have still had a few more apps that you want to use without creating another page. I think that you guys will find this application very helpful.

5. Notification History

Halfway through the list, we have Notification History. Have you ever woke up in the morning with a thousand different notifications? You start going through them and you accidentally swipe one or two away. Well, that is where notification history kicks in.

Simply launch the application and hit the little notification history at the bottom. You will get all the notification in chronological order with timestamps right next to all your notifications. They go back as far as you want.

Notification history is also completely customizable from the size of the log to keep to the type of logs. This has saved me numerous times in the past and I think it will do the same for you.

6. Cube Escape

Up next we have Cube Escape. Cube Escape is a game of two tales. A color puzzle and a shape puzzle. But in both aspects, you are guiding a cube on a platform. In the color puzzle, you have to match the color to the bridge color so that the cube can go under the bridge.

In the shape puzzle, you have to match the shape of the cube to the shape of the bridge so that the cube becomes a new shape to go under the bridge. All you have to do is tap on the displays to make the changes.

This sounds a little complicated but it is super challenging and easy. I always tend to do better with the color puzzle but let me know which one you like better.

7. Balls race

I have another game coming your way and it is called Balls race. The game keeps things very simple. You will be just guiding a ball through an obstacle course.

It has an upbeat techno style music theme to it and you will be competing against other players. There is though one annoying thing that I noticed in this. The number of ads that are in this game.

It just seems like there are way more ads than any other game that I played. But overall the game is so good that I had to include it in our favorite Android apps of the month. Why don’t you give this game a try and let me know if it’s just me or if this game has more ads than the average game?

8. 1Weather

Eight application on the list is 1Weather. This is a weather application that I have been using recently. It gives you a very detailed weather forecast in your area, breaks it down by the hour, and gives you daily or weekly forecast up to 12 weeks in advance.

1Weather also has a beautiful animation for the amount of rain that you are going to receive in your area. It will give you details about the Sun and the mood on any given day.

To make things even better. It has got a beautiful widget that I keep on my home screen which lets you see the weather in an extended format and details or even an hourly breakdown.

So, if you are looking for a weather app or widget then definitely give 1Weather a try and you won’t be disappointed.

9. Wall of Fame

I am a big fan of wallpapers. Whether on cell phones computers or tablets. The Wall of Fame has some amazing high-quality wallpapers. All the wallpapers on my phone are from the Wall of Fame.

The only flaw this application has is when you are previewing a wallpaper it will not be of high quality but it does let you know that. When you do apply the wallpaper and it will be definitely in high definition and because of that Wall of Fame has made it to our favorite apps.

10. Edge Mask

The last application on our list is the Edge Mask. Now, what it does, is that it lights up the edges of your phone just like the feature from the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus which I do miss now that I think about.

Edge Mask is completely customizable and it even adds rounded corners if your phone does not support that. The setup process is very simple and in a matter of seconds. You will be up and running and enjoy that beautifully lit up edge of your phone.

So those are the Top 10 Android Apps for Kenyan Students. I hope you guys enjoyed the selection of apps. Share with your friends and let us know of other cool apps down in the comment section.
