In Kenya, Governors are in charge of the Counties. The counties of Kenya are geographical units envisioned by the 2010 Constitution of Kenya as the units of devolved government.
The powers are provided in Articles 191 and 192 and in the fourth schedule of the Constitution of Kenya and the County Governments Act of 2012.
Kenya went into the National Elections on August 8th and elected the following in the Gubernatorial positions.
The elections in Kenya were presided over by The Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
It must be noted that some of the first Governors in the last Government were ousted and some counties now have new Governors.
